Digital ministry reiterates position against YouTube’s muting

MOSCOW, Jan 19 (PRIME) -- The position of Russia’s Digital Development Ministry regarding YouTube has not changed, the authority opposes its blocking, Minister Maksut Shadayev told reporters on Thursday.

Shadayev said earlier that it is better to speak about market competition and creation of a Russian analogue of the platform.

Deputy Yevgeny Popov said on Wednesday that the parliament’s lower house State Duma is not discussing disconnection of YouTube.
